Lady Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, wife of the late U.S. President John F. Kennedy, as a fashion icon, to become an
inspiration to fashion
designers and an elegance model to which every first lady, as well as women
around the world, can follow.
Jackie Kennedy, Jacqueline Lee Bouvier, was born on July 28, 1929, in Southampton, New York, to her parents John, who worked on the stock market, and Janet, an accomplished horse rider, was able to inherit her equestrian talent for her daughter Jackie.
In addition to being a fashion
icon and beauty icon, Jackie was known for her love of science and
study, graduating from Vassar College in New York with a degree in English and
French history, art, and literature.
She then worked in her first job in 1951, as a photographer for
the Washington Times-Herald, where she moved around the city, taking pictures
of people on the streets, asking them about the issues of the world, and
putting it in her column in the newspaper.
During her time as a photographer, Jackie met John F. Kennedy —
a congressman and then Massachusetts senator - to marry the couple in 1953 and
become one of the most famous husbands in history in their short-lived love beauty
story, following the assassination of her husband John two years after he became president of
the United States in 1963.
Recently, news of a new film called "Jackie" traces the life
of the former president's widow, playing Jackie, American actress Natalie
Portman.
